Another Great Social Gathering

The Famee Furlane Social Group held it 3^rd Annual Wine & Dine Tasting Event on October 29^th, 2010 - what a huge success it was. This annual event is building a reputation within the Friuli community for its extraordinary wines matched with the exquisite foods for a pairing that will entice the palate like no other. The vintage wines came from all corners of the world and were matched to a 9 course menu from our very own al Fogolâr’s Restaurant. The guest list was cut off at 56 and there were many who were disappointed to not have reserve early enough for this limited seating. Each course was perfectly matched with extraordinary wines from the likes of Champy Puligny-Montrachet, Giuseppe Quintarelli, Elderton Command, Zenato, Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou, Caymus and Joseph Phelps to name a few. This event started with a mere 18 guest in year one and was challenged to keep it to 56 this year - we look forward to our biggest event yet in 2011. It is never too early to secure you’re spot for next year. The Social Group would like to thank Nick for his efforts in working with the Social Group in putting on this event, Domenic and his staff for their flawless service, Boris the executive chef at al Fogolâr’s Restaurant for a menu that was absolutely a reflection of his creative passion. And most importantly, all the guest who made this event such as success - not just a wine and food tasting event but a “Social” event that brings Furlan’s and non Furlan’s together to be with close friends and to make new friends. That’s what the Social Group is all about - food, wine and friends.
